Backpacking on the Bay Circuit Trail (BCT) from Concord to Acton. Meet at St. James at 7:30 am on Saturday, April 12. We’ll hike from Concord to Acton, spend the night at Camp Acton, hike back to Concord in the morning. Return to Cambridge about 1 pm on Sunday. Distance each day is about 6 miles, level grade.

Highly recommended for new Scouts and for adults who are interested in an introductory backpacking trip. We can borrow gear from the AMC for anyone who needs equipment (backpacks, boots, sleeping bag, etc.).

This is a “Philmont qualifier.” Anyone Philmont-bound who did not attend the September trip is expected to attend this trip.

Permission slip required (see link above).

Drivers will be needed to drop backpackers in Concord on Saturday and pick up in Concord on Sunday.
