Court of Honor, Tuesday, June 4

Hello Everyone,

Share your favorites with friends! We are looking for food and drink to celebrate at the next Court of Honor on Tuesday June 4th.

Please let us know what beverage or dish you can bring to share with Troop/Crew 56 on this special night. Give us a quick response so we can make sure there’s enough…or not too much! And don’t forget to bring your mess kits (or plate/bowl/utensils) and a cup. Bonus points for those who bring a cloth napkin!!

See you at 6:00. Can’t wait to celebrate!

Thanks,
Shannon, Woody and Harrison

REMINDER: Continuing Our Trash Bags Sales This Week

Scouts and Scout Parents,

This is a reminder that we will be continuing our trash bags sales this week.

We are selling the 13 Gal. tall kitchen bags in 30 qty or 50 qty amounts, and the 30 Gal. trash bags in 30 qty. The pricing is on the order form.

The funds from our trash bag sales go toward your scouting fee and supports the activities and resources for our troop.

Next Tuesday we will collect your payments for the trash bags. Please double check your order info. Order forms and sales scripts are available on the troop website.

We are also looking for volunteers to man a sales table outside of a local supermarket with a supply of trash bags.

Doing good for our neighbors, Troop 56, and the planet.

Yours in Scouting,

Edward Bartholomew (Eli’s Dad)

Agenda for Tuesday, April 30

Hello everyone,

7:00-7:05  |  Opening
7:05-7:20  |  Trip Reflection
7:20-7:55  |  PLC Meeting (whole troop)
7:55-8:00  |  Closing

Scouts have just come back from Mount Greylock. While it felt like spring is here, it felt like winter was not over 3500 feet high. It hailed/snowed, was around freezing, and there was very poor visibility at the top of the mountain. Every scout still came back with limbs attached and water flowing in their veins. Everyone had a great workout and some great views to remember (those doing Personal Fitness should put it in their logs).

The PLC meeting will include the whole troop. The year is coming to a close and I think it would be great to just have everyone relax and come up with some finishing and fun plans for the scouting year. Court of Honor is coming up in the first week of June and some advancements are planned for May. So bring in ideas for the PLC meeting!

Yours in Scouting,
Jeffrey Gomez
